Spotlight on Students


She was first introduced to the Women's and Gender Studies Program in Dr. Wall's Intro to WGS in the fall of 2009. While her passion for women's issues and gender equality was fostered at a young age, this was the first time that she realized that she could actually channel her passions into an academic career. "I realized that this major is the perfect opportunity to combine my love of academic scholarship and passion for justice." This student hopes to make feminist documentaries and be a life long women's activist. She was in this year's production of The Vagina Monologues, and hopes to take part again next year.
